Authentic Experiences for Agency Development

Most students in high school have plenty of opportunities to solicit feedback, revise their work, and work through challenges. However, significantly fewer of those students develop cognizance of the value these behaviors will have outside of the classroom and quickly eliminate many of these "extra steps" if they are no required to complete them. How, then, do we as teachers support our students in learning to choose these behaviors in order to help them practice and see the greater purpose? The study herein seeks to answer very simply: Intrinsic Motivation and Authenticity.

Below you will see an interactive image that contains the results of the project that the rest of this site will flesh out in greater detail. Start with the end in mind!
