The New Tech Network - Project Based Learning (PBL)

American Canyon High School is a member of the New Tech Network of schools. This network of schools emphasizes innovative learning environments and engaging students with dynamic, rigorous curriculum through the project-based learning approach. This unique approach to learning supports teachers working with students to increase digital literacy skills across curriculum and content areas. Any subject area can dive deep to emphasize video analysis in research. Any subject area can dive deep to use video as an additional tool to engage students and support their learning.

PBL is especially effective when utilizing technology to support student engagement and learning. Technological savvy is at the heart of digital literacy in the modern world. The ability to "read" and analyze the many different images in 
various formats that are constantly coming at students in their modern lives is critical for their success in the 21st century world.
