Assessing Students’ Ability to Engage With Online Evidence
"By the time students get to secondary grade levels, they should be expected to exhibit positive and consistent digital citizenship skills. I've always liked the idea that students graduating middle school should have to pass a digital citizenship "driver's ed" course. This test would demonstrate understanding of the basic standards of what it means to be a digital citizen. At schools that employ 1:1 programs, this would be a good way of obtaining the keys to your device."

End-of-Project Assessments

Self and Peer Evaluation: This Google Form is a great way to get feedback at the end of a group project about how well each group member has contributed to the well-being of the group. 
Project Reflection: Gather students' insights about their efforts within a project and their ideas for future projects.
Venn Diagram One-Pager Instructions & Samples 
In this summative assessment, my students synthesized their own understandings of the Maya, Aztec, and Inca civilizations. Their notes from individual research as well as group presentations were able to be used, allowing them to focus on comparing and contrasting the civilizations instead of memorizing specific details.
