Next steps in Mathematics with Coding and Robotics

Picture
My next steps are to rejuvenate my practice and embark on a new teaching journey. I have decided to take a chance to flip my classroom and at the same time, start the implementation of Google Classroom with my instruction. This decisions go hand in hand with each other and have enabled me to see what it will look like next year with the use of GC as I change the way students learn math in my classroom. As I flip my instruction, I classify myself as an INFINITE learner who will never stop to grow professionally and personally. 2019-20 will be a year full of passion, overflowing toolbox, new vision and still hungry for more growth and change for the benefit of our students.

During my learning process, I have evolved from a passive teacher to a dynamic teacher with more tools and tricks in my toolbox and digital knowledge to improve my teaching practice. My teaching used to be very old fashioned with direct instruction, teaching and practice, classwork, warm-ups, participation, quizzes, and tests. My vision has changed to an innovative mindset towards implementing new methods of problem based learning, team collaboration, student driven vs teacher driven and promoting more student choice and voice. Inspired, I am looking forward to preparing and implementing new methodologies and technologies.

Thank you Napa Learns
Napa Learns is another entity that has been instrumental in my learning in Touro's Innovative Learning program. My appreciation for Napa Learns' financial, educational and psychological support cannot be expressed simply with words. Napa Learns has enabled me to participate in this program, to learn how to improve my skills and to innovate my practice. I cannot wait to see the results of changing my instruction and advance the learning that will continue to take place! Thank you very much for your endless support to teachers and schools in Napa!

Thank you to the Touro University Education Graduate Master's Program
I have learned new ways to implement lessons, new and different forms of instruction and a different vision to do what is right for my students to learn math and for their educational futures. This is how transliteracy has changed me and my teaching of mathematics. Furthermore, this year, starting to teach C-STEM Computing and Robotics in mathematics has also upped my game of instruction with new transliteracies. This and my other teaching methods will continue to engage my students to learning mathematics.
Thank you very much teachers!
