How-Tos and Instructional Materials

Picture
Throughout my LIL website you will find many digital resources that I'm hoping will be useful to most teachers.
The Skills page includes only those tools that can facilitate the learning and development of the four areas of language: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The References page has a variety of resources such as links to websites, articles, educators, blogs etc.
This How-To page contains a great selection of educational tools that I use constantly in my classroom.
Click on the icons below to go to the websites and keep exploring!

Foreign Language Teachers' Favorite Tools

The sites and apps below are widely used for learning and practicing languages.  There are many others, but these are the one I highly recommend.

Presentation Tools

Besides the traditional Google Slides and Power Point, I love to use the two tools below because they make creative and fun presentations that are not loaded with text.
Picture
PREZI is a presentation tool that instead of slides makes use of one large canvas that allows you to pan and zoom to various parts of the canvas and emphasize the ideas presented there.

Picture
WEE VIDEO is an easy and fun collaborative video editing platform perfect for students and teachers.

Picture
HAIKU DECK is a simple and fun App that creates stunning presentations because of its rich visuals and minimal text allowed on each slide.

Picture

Screencasts

Below are two examples of how we can use screencasting not only to teach our students but to help other teachers.
