The Purpose of the Learn More Section
The purpose of the Learn More section is to connect the content from my research to the intended audience. The targeted content for my audience is how to transcend literacy skills via digital storytelling. My audience is anybody interested in creating digital stories, however, a lot of the information embedded in this site, and Learn More section, pertains to educators and parents.
Lessons for Educators
There are digital storytelling and digital citizenship lessons for educators. In today's world, digital storytelling helps a student thrive professionally and digital citizenship helps them survive socially.
Educators and parents should take an active role in teaching digital citizenship to prepare children to thrive and survive in today's social on-line digital world.
A How-To guide to Digital Storytelling
The How-To section of this page explains how educators can evaluate their own use of technology in the classroom and how to leverage digital storytelling to foster 21st century skills, digital citizenship, college and career readiness.
It also explains how digital storytelling can be the platform to engage student literacy and inspire them to publish work digitally with meaningful sound, images, and video.
The References page houses links to educational books and websites related to digital storytelling.
