Research into Project-Based Learning

Having been introduced to Project-Based Learning (PBL) while completing student teaching, I've seen the way it engages students in the learning process and helps them understand new content in a way that traditional teaching does not. I knew that I wanted to gain a more in-depth understanding of this learning strategy so that I could utilize it in my own classroom and chose to focus on PBL for my master's action research project. While my overarching goal is to become a Project-Based Learning proficient teacher, my research focuses on laying the foundation for student collaboration. I determined this to be an appropriate starting point for engaging students in PBL.

My final action research paper is presented in its entirety below. It includes a background and statement of the problem, related literature, methodology for the research, data, and analysis.
