ASSESSMENT

After going over feedback from all stakeholders about pilot week, NTHS decided to have all 9th graders do interdisciplinary all year long.  A team of five core teachers and three support teachers designed the following projects.

Lighten Up Project

Students started the year off engaging in a project that introduced them to PBL.  They were asked to build a lantern for the Lighted Art Festival that will take place January 2019.  The launch slide deck,  an introduction to geometric constructions, as well pictures of student examples are below.
Student Blog Example
Students were asked to incorporate a regular polygon into their lantern design.  In math students worked on constructions and were then asked to blog about their construction.
