My Future Direction

Picture
Although I was really satisfied with the research I was able to do to help manage classroom behavior, my next steps would be for me to not only use Inclusive Design to monitor behavior but to assess if the change in implementation of curriculum also increases students academic success.
Other steps are to explore various ways to use Inclusive Design in Language Arts and Math not just for social science and science PBL
(project based learning) work.
I will continue to use the tools I have learned about in this program and challenge myself to explore new ones. I plan on seeking permission from my principal for applications that I feel will be valuable to my students learning. Lastly, I've realized it's my responsibility to share with other teachers what I know that might help or better them as well and not keeping it to myself.

I would like to give a special thank you to Napa Learns for their support of Innovative Learning, their financial assistance through this program and their continued investment in Napa Valley teachers that desire to seek higher education. This opportunity has helped me grow personally and as a teacher. I am proud and honored to be apart of this organization.

I would also like to give a big thank you to Touro University and Dr. Pamela Redmond for developing this program and believing in the importance of teachers. Thank you to all the instructors for their dedication and expertise. Finally I'd like to thank the Fantastic 4 (Cohort 17) for your encouragement, being a wonderful support system throughout this process and learning and trusting each other to reach this point together. Congratulations Team!
