As educators, we want to send a student into the world with the understanding on how to be a citizen in society. In the digital world we want the same for our students. Digital citizenship helps students understand how to use technology in an appropriate way in school and at home.

In order to have a system in place for a BYOD program it is beneficial for the school site to agree on a common language curriculum when it comes to digital citizenship.

How are both students and teachers using technology in the classroom setting together?
How to implement procedures and expectations regarding device usage?
