I have a lot of ground still to cover. I would like to finesse the design of my lesson plans, maximizing the engagement and assessment potential. I would like to continue to research various methods of differentiation and see what is happening out there in classrooms that really focus on it. Next year, I will be living and teaching in New York. I plan on using my geographic location to reach out to different schools and find out what they are doing to reach learners on various levels. I have all ready made a connection the Moriah School in New Jersey and am planning on attending one of their open class days next fall, where they explain and display their individualized learning model.

Next Focus: Kinesthetic Learning

Thank Yous!

Thank you to the administration of South Peninsula Hebrew Day School, specifically Rabbi Shaye Guttenberg, for facilitating the partnership with Touro University and encouraging me to join the Master's Program. Thank you to Dr. Pamela Redmond for designing this program and making it possible.
Thank you to all of my cohort members from Cohorts 8 & 10 and the facilitators of our classes. I have learned so much from you all. Thank you to my class buddy Lori Meyers. She kept me sane when I had no idea what was going on. Last but not least, thank you to my family for putting up with all of my "morah" classes as I worked to become a better teacher.
For my next challenge: I would like to do more investigation into kinesthetic learning. I have seen the tremendous benefits of things as simple as "Stand up if you agree..." and the overwhelming value of interactive, kinesthetic learning in the classroom. The more research I fo, the more I am surprised to learn that things as simple as "real world examples" are considered kinesthetic learning and will benefit different types of learners. Given that, I would like to put in even more time reading up on it and trying to incorporate it into my classroom.
