What you will need

Goal setting strategies can be implemented in any classroom, with any grade level as they are completely customize-able, but here are some of my favorite things to have around that make goal setting easy for myself and my students.
  • Student computers (1:1 is easiest at first when students are learning how to use the tech tools, but later on I've had them use Chromebooks in the classroom, iPads are also a great option especially for younger students using Seesaw)
  • Teacher computer displayed through projector (for demonstrating tech tools and showing what it looks like when students complete their work on Google Classroom or Seesaw, as well as showing examples)
  • Classroom reward system (I like to use my Bryant Bucks from MaseDesignCo on Teachers Pay Teachers) for when students meet goals. With younger students I like using warm fuzzies.
  • Prize box or coupons for in class rewards that students can select. Here is a list I created for my class last year.
  • Student folders or sticker sheets, especially for young goal setters to visually keep track of their progress.
  • Student led conference form (I created this one last year to further encourage student ownership of learning)
