Support and Next Steps

I feel so incredibly fortunate to have worked through my Masters program with Touro. I have to admit, when I first began looking at where to go to school to continue my education, I had no idea that Touro could offer so much to me. The values that Touro shares with its students extend so much farther than the classroom. As a team, we  have worked towards showing equity to all students in a student centered and engaged classroom. We have learned to share our own thoughts and experiences in a collaborative , yet supportive environment. Through research and inquiry I have rediscovered my passion for learning more about education and I am eager to continue this passion far into my future.

I truly believe that I will take what I have learned here at Touro and use it to have a positive impact on the world. As a teacher, I spend each day touching lives. Each of my students will take with them a little piece of me and what I have shared with them. These moments will shape who they become and they will be my legacy. I have already begun the process of sharing what I have learned here at Touro with my students and I can clearly see the positive impact it has had. I speak frequently with my colleagues about my work here at Touro and how it has already impacted my students. Thank you Touro for helping to make this dream a reality.

A Special Thank You to the Following

A warm thank you to all of the friends and family who have supported me though this process. My wonderful husband Douglas who remained my biggest supporter every step of the way. My two kids; Cadence and Lucas for understanding my need for personal and professional growth and their support for me to see it through. My teaching Partner; Kim, who lightened my load at school at every opportunity so that I could find the extra time for success at Touro. Cohort 14, this journey would not have been as rewarding without the support and guidance from our small community. Teresa, Helen, Cindy, Emily, Jane, Stephanie, Alicia, Shawn, Madeleine, Christina and Joseph; your words of encouragement and support have helped me immeasurably along the way. A very special thank you to all of my instructors at Touro University for their guidance, support and expertise as I made this journey.
