21st Century Learning and Workforce Readiness
The need to prepare our students by instilling them with 21st century skills arose from the idea that most of the future jobs our students will by employed in have not been created yet. It is therefore irresponsible as educators to educate students using the same methods that we learned from when we were students.
Educating our students through the lens of 21st century skills is about incorporating the standards required for your content but also focusing on the concept of the 6C’s. Not only are our students learning content but they are also focusing on developing their skills of communication, character, global Citizenship, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration.
In this capstone I have focused on improving my students ability to communicate, think critically, be creative and collaborate.
