Being Strategic with Learning Strategies

      The learners who enter our classrooms are diverse in almost every way.  With the adoption of Common Core Mathematics Standards and the use of Problem Based Learning in our practice, we are tasked with developing students critical thinking skills in many ways, as well as teaching students how to find out information that is relevant for problem solving.
     My school has adopted several school-wide strategies including New Tech Network's resources for the classroom.  The purpose of these are to bring 21st Century Skills into the classroom as quickly as possible.
     Students tend to struggle learning Trigonometry in Pre Calculus and because of the fact that 65% of the population are Visual Learners, I wanted to bring in a greater visual approach to learning for that unit.
