Learn More

There are many arguments in the educational field that surround the topic of technology usage in the classroom.  Numerous studies have researched the topic and the conclusion of many of these studies is similar in the fact that they all agree to the idea that the teacher must be seen as the facilitator of student learning, and the initial motivator for the engagement level of the students. Needless to say, stakeholders in the educational community include parents, administrators, advocates, business owners, teachers, and students who all must unite in a collaborative effort in embracing and trusting in the belief that technology when used appropriately as a learning tool in the classroom can further expand and enhance a student's capacity to discover, and share what has been learned through research and inquiry. Fourth Grade Common Core Language Arts, ITSE, 6 C's, and NTN standards, were used throughout the project. Visit my Standards page for more information.

Many teachers find themselves asking, "How can I make technology a valuable tool in my classroom?' Looking at the Lessons and How-to's will give you the perfect place to start with lessons created by myself and other educators. In References, you will find a collection of teacher resources, tools, and blogs that can be beneficial with technology in the classroom.  The Assessments section is a great place to find rubrics when grading the lessons.
