Design Process -  the S.I.T.E. model: This is learner centered framework for designing and implementing learning experiences.  Teachers can design deeper and richer experiences for students when understanding the complexities of the learner as a "whole person".  We need to consider  the many cultural and social influences in a child's life.  Also, how competant are they with devises, systems, and tools?  Are we considering literacy?  S.I.T.E reminds educators that students moreover are not just learning to read - they are reading to LEARN.
