Next Steps

This project produced overall positive results. Due to the fact that student agency and depth of knowledge are complex skill sets that develop overtime, I would need to collect more data in order to come to a more reliable conclusion. Project Based Learning(PBL) was the student-centered methodology used in this study, and though I would like to further my research through continued implementation of PBL in the classroom, I want to eventually explore other student centered methods as well.

Project Based Learning is a flexible methodology that can be molded to the varying needs of different disciplines. That being said, constraints on time and resources could affect the ability to implement a successful PBL Unit. My goal is to explore the effectiveness of other student centered methodologies in order to broaden the accessibility of student centered learning.

As I move forward, the knowledge, resources and connections gained from this experience will serve as a foundation in the expansion of my practice. I would like to extend my gratitude to Touro University, my professors, and my Cohort for the support they have given me throughout this Master’s Program.
