More Tools for a World Language Classroom

Green Screen by Do Ink

The "green screen" effect is used in the films to make it look like the actors have landed on an alien planet, or on TV to make it look like the local meteorologist is standing in front of an animated weather map. This can be a great tool for a world language classroom, for instance,  tell stories in Spanish for listening comprehension or for students to make fun video presentations, there are lot of possibilities.

Kahoot!

Kahoot! is a game-based learning program. Kahoot is a collection of questions on specific topics, and they are asked in real-time and with unlimited number of players. There are three types of Kahoots: quiz, discussion (poll), and survey. Kahoot, was a great tool as a study guide, and sometimes I had my high level students create kahoots for the class. This can also be a way to get feedback from your students, or as an exit ticket.
