Wondering how to implement feedback in your room? These tools can be really effective.
Why feedback?
Feedback has been show to have a high effect size on learning. As teachers we are always looking for strategies that we can easily implement. Ones that don't cause us to have re-create all of our lessons. Feedback allows teachers to implement a strategy that has been proven time and time again to help students build their writing and critical thinking skills. My action research changed the way that I approach all of my lessons now. It made me a better teacher. My hope is that the walk through lessons below will help you as well. |
Why digital platforms?
Not all digital platforms are equally effective. Middle school students value the ability to remain anonymous. Through many assignments and conversations with my students, I saw that if I wanted feedback to truly be effective students had to feel comfortable with the process. Each one of these sites can be used to achieve the goal of allowing students to provide feedback in an environment that they are comfortable with. |
