Next Generation Science Assessments: Explore and use these classroom-ready assessment tasks. The tasks are intended to support teaching and learning in classrooms that are enacting NGSS-aligned instruction, and to gain insights into students’ progress in building proficiency with NGSS performance expectations (PEs). They  have organized their collection of tasks according to clusters of PEs within each disciplinary topic. Under each cluster of PEs, they present a set of less broad but more manageable three dimensional performance statements that they call Learning Performances (LPs), which collectively describe the performances that students need to demonstrate as they progress toward achieving a cluster of performance expectations.
