TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. It is a theory that was created to incorporate technology use combined with a teacher's subject knowledge, and the knowledge of how a teacher teaches. Below is a Vienn Diagram that shows the overlap of each component of the TPACK model. The place in the middle is where you want to try and be as a teacher. The middle place is where you are able to intertwine all knowledge areas to give your students the best in teaching and learning. In the video you will also find data, explanations, and a overview about the TPACK model. The SAMR Model is also part of each students 21st Century Skills development. This model allows the teacher and the student to see where their use of technology reaches. Included below is a video with information about the background and need for the SAMR model. To the right is an infographic explaining the SAMR thinking process. |
