Standards related to the research
There are many sources of standards that have guided my teaching and learning throughout the process of my research. This page focuses primarily on the California Common Core State Math Standards associated with teaching Math 1. Below is a list of the 8 standards of Mathematical Practice, one of those eight principles is the use of appropriate math tools strategically, which along with many traditional math tools, includes technology such as computers, chrome books, cell phones and tablets. This Common Core mathematical principle expresses that mathematically proficient students should be able to know the tools available to them when solving a mathematical problem and know that technology can enable them to visualize the results of varying assumptions, explore consequences, and compare predictions with data.
