On my home page, a character from the introductory video laments, "I've got to prepare students for jobs that don't even exist yet!" From the inception of this capstone project, the focus has been how to aid teachers in effectively using technology to further the education of students in today's classrooms. The resources which have been collected in this capstone include lesson plans, provide connections to Web 2.0 applications, and connect teachers with trove of easy to use materials. Project Based Learning relies on collaborative exploration, and this capstone will hopefully provide teachers some sign posts for the maps they will create.
An excellent online resource for further information and exploration around the idea of 21st Century Learning, can be found here at P21. The website P21 is a nonprofit organization which works to create partnerships among schools, businesses and government. Their stated mission: To serve as a catalyst and build collaborative partnerships among education, business, community and government leaders so that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills they need to to thrive in a world where change is constant and learning never stops.
