The fluid format of centers embraces the student empowerment.
Students are trained and must take responsibility for their own and their peers learning.
In this model of a classroom it is essential that students communicate well.
They are expected and coached to be comfortable sharing their thoughts, and ideas.
They are comfortable asking questions of each other and working together to find solutions to problems.
Centers also require students to learn to collaborate with one and other.
They must become proficient at working together towards a common goal, pooling their talents to enhance their learning.
Critical Thinking is also essential in this model, as students are asked to solve problems in new ways.
Linking their learning to the real world.
And lastly to be creative with our learning makes it more meaningful and richer.
In centers students are given the opportunity to be creative and share those ideas  with others and get things done in new ways.
