OUT OF THE BOX AND INTO THE CENTER

Beginning with the realization a few years ago that my students had more sophisticated tools at their finger tips than I did, I started to see the need to bring myself up to speed with my students in the everyday use of technology.  I started with an i phone, moved to an iPad and have experimented with and researched the best practices for these tools.  From this came my research to discover how to make centers based learning a reality that gives my students the best opportunity to learn.


Research


Today’s students are growing up in a technological world with television, electronic toys, video games, , cellular phones, and tablets readily available to them. They are accustomed to receiving and processing information through multi-sensory sources.
