Research Transformation

Halfway through this program I shifted my focus of my capstone research. Initially I focused on active listening and how to improve the active listening skills of my 1st grade students. After gathering data and researching it seemed  obvious that student could learn active listening skills very well when taught how to do so. The next stage in my research was more geared to HOW we can motivate them to listen. The answer in this case was the use of their peers. Students love to converse with their peers. They love to tell stories, jokes and just talk about their lives. I thought to myself...what if we could teach them to use peer feedback so that they are motivated to converse with their peers in an academic way. What you will find below are some parts of my initial research project which was were it all began!
