Design Process

The logo Design was hard to establish at first. The research is about students being able to reflect upon their learning identify where they currently are in any given unit. When is the student done with the unit and how do they get to that point. In addition to knowing where the student is the goal is to continue to grown no mater where you are starting.

The first image had mirrors and a person walking to the left to indicate that first he has to go back before going forward. The feedback that I got was that he looked trapped and the mirrors were not coming across as a reflection. The cubes were the next  overall logo change where there were people moving in all directions in a three dimensional plain. The feedback that i got was that the people were not kids. The logo was also not good for shrinking down .

Lastly the logo came to me after making my mini documentary about my research and how the starting line is forever moving and never in the same spot for any one person. My last logo is about the starting line and finishing line where the length, thickness, and color represent the changing student. Each line may start at the same point but not end in the same way. In addition to that each one of the lines may start at a different place but end in the same place. The vertical red line is an emphasis that the line is forever moving.
