If we are going to have a technologically enhanced learning environment in physical education, we need to understand and agree on the relationships between technology, pedagogy and content knowledge.

Physical education teachers have a common Content Knowledge (CK) or command of the subject and the standards.
Having Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) means knowing how students learn, being well versed in appropriate teaching approaches, knowing methods of assessment and having knowledge of the different theories about learning.

The key is the Technological Knowledge (TK) that refers to the context of technology in schools and, in specific, physical education class. How do we add digital technologies: the Internet, soft ware and hardware to our curriculum in a meaningful way?

It is the combination, or fusion, of these three components (TPAK) that creates meaningful and lasting experiences in physical education.
