Elements of Project Based Learning

Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge.

New Technology High School

New Technology high school has been a project based learning school from the day it opened in 1996.  Now, in 2018 we are piloting a new model of PBl.  All 9th grade is a part of integrated projects.  The team of eight teachers designs and implements projects that incorporate all content areas.  Students move the day using projects as the driver rather that classes.  Below is a message to the Freshman introducing the format for the year.
