21st Century Learning and Workforce Readiness

With the 21st century comes advancements in technology which has affected how we communicate. Thus, what it means to be prepared for success in the workforce has changed. As a result curriculum has shifted to reflect the changing times. These sought after skills or 21st century skills are called the 4 C's which include Critical thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, and Communication but what does look like?

Reason effectively, analyze systems, evaluate/analyze/synthesize/interpret/reflect on claims, evidence, and reasoning to make judgments and decisions, and solve problems.

Collaborate effectively and respectfully with diverse teams, exercise flexibility and compromise, assume shared responsibility of work and value contributions from others.

Think creatively using idea creation techniques to create new ideas and refines ideas to improve efforts, works creatively with others, and implements innovation.

Communicate clearly articulating thoughts/ideas effectively, listens effectively, uses multiple media and technology, in diverse environments for various purposes.
