How can teachers support English Language Learners through technology?

Bringing technology into the classroom can have a tremendous impact on learning. In the field of education we need to look at the needs of students who are entering kindergarten. Children who are learning English as a second language benefit tremendously from technology in the classroom.

Technology provides opportunities for students to work privately at their own comfort level and for children who are learning English and who may be hesitant to practice this unfamiliar language in front of others, using an iPad or other tools can provide practice in an individualized way.  Digital tools are a great way to ease children into the English speaking environment.
