As educators, we want to send a student into the world with the understanding on how to be a citizen in society. In the digital world we want the same for our students. In order to have a system in place for a BYOD program it is beneficial for the school site to agree on a common language curriculum when it comes to digital citizenship. Questions to Consider: What does using a device look like in Kindergarten to 8th grade? How are teachers using technology in the classroom? How are students using technology in the classroom? How are both students and teachers using technology in the classroom setting together? How to implement procedures and expectations regarding device usage? This page will help you form lessons regarding procedures and expectations about digital citizenship.
