In my study, I wanted students to be more aware of their running form and breathing techniques.  The strategy I used to get students engaged with the fitness activity was video recording their mile run .  Students used their own video clip to analyze their running form.  Students are grouped into teams to evaluate and assess each other running mechanics.  Proper running form was viewed through YouTube video, "Proper Running Technique" (Tooby, 2016), teacher modeling, and student modeling.  After collaboration, groups were given time to have individual practice.

With the use of the video, my purpose was to get students more engaged toward their fitness activity.  By providing this experience to the students, I hope they are more aware of their biomechanics in running technique, use video as a resource to improve future fitness goals, and make fitness enjoyable.  The main focus is not about students competing against each other but for each student to work towards their own individualized health goals.
