What did I want to know?

When asked to come up with a driving question that would keep me motivated and eventually revolutionize my classroom for the better, my ELL’s were my focus from the get go. I knew this fit perfectly between my experience with these students and with the overall goal of the Innovative Learning program at Touro University. I wanted to know how I could integrate the use of technological devices along with online websites that will provide my students with math support in and outside of my classroom.

In order to explore this idea, I implemented the digital tools shown below. These tools were modeled to students on how to use them. Students were asked to work through an exponential functions project while applying the digital tools in order to support them and to complete the project. To understand if my treatment group benefited from these tools they were given a pre and post-test and filled out a google form. These data tools provided me with important information on how these tools supported my ELL's.
Our environment changes faster than we can learn about it, Eddie Obeng says. How do we keep up?
