The Design Process

Any new process can be daunting and when I began my journey I knew it would not be an easy one.  I had one goal, to focus on differentiation and technology, but I was not sure of how to achieve that goal.  The process was a long one and during that process I had to analyze a number of areas.  These areas became part of the design process and in the end they joined together as one whole.

The Design Process involved a number of steps starting with the Driving Question.

The SITE Model focuses on the Sociocultural Needs, Instructional Needs, Technological Needs and the Educational Needs of the learning Process.  When Researching I had to decide what each step would require in order for the outcome to be a successful one.

An Infoposter helped with looking at the overall picture of Technology supporting Differentiation.  In this I wanted to take another step and look at the impact on the English Language Learner (ELL) in the Mathematics classroom

The design process also required a Prototype of this website.  Over a few weeks I created 2 different Prototypes and, although the final result was different, the design process did help with the arranging of ideas.
